submission Process
Submit the completed submission form below, along with a link to your film for consideration. Preview means the copy we will use to review for acceptance of your film.
selection process
Series programming staff will select and invite films at their discretion. Entrants will be notified, if selected, via email at least 30 days prior to the screening date.
Deliverables
If selected, filmmakers are asked to provide an exhibition/screening copy of the film and press kit. See complete submission guidelines for additional details.
Film submission form
A First Friday concept unique to San Diego, the MindAstronaut Film & Artisan Series highlights the best cinematic works from filmmakers of all genres and locations globally. The two-part event consists of an art exhibit where local artists participate in a pop-up gallery, keeping in theme with the featured film. Alternatively, the filmmaker may choose to include a curated experience at the screening like a sound healing, dance or musical performance.
MindAstronaut is considering content from independent filmmakers for feature-length and short films. For consideration, please fill out the form below. All fields must be completed in order for your film to be reviewed. A member of our team will be in touch if your film has been selected as a finalist.
